Hi, I'm a zombie that's also a ghost, wow! I figured I could make a newgrounds account since I've picked up animation as a hobby.

Omg it has been a very long time since I last made a post. I think like everyone who follows me here on NG also knows of my Twitter, which is where I'm more active in but I am not dead. I decided to join a game jam for my college major and am making a new createjs javascript game! For now, the game is called Phil and all I'll share is that this is my first time making one of these types of games.

On a more serious note, I don't know what to think of my programming skills as of now. I am using a tool I'm kinda familiar with to make a game that legitimately excites me and am using a year of new coding knowledge to help (like for instance, I am making my first ever programming classes with this game all on my own 🥰️. The only problem with that is that I don't know if I'm making a good enough product. Like I have already learned a lot of the dumb limitations with createjs (and its also hard to find up to date support as opposed to other web game libraries) and am feeling like a lot of my code is slowly turning into spaghetti code that's not really efficient. In addition, I'm starting to get some of the big programming bugs for this project and I am just about done with the coding portion of this game. I dunno if its that dunning kruger effect thing or imposter syndrome or if I'm just lying to myself to sound humble, but I feel like the most I continue with this programming endeavor, the more messy and complicated stuff gets.

I dunno. Like I said I am about done with the programming portion of this game so I'll be able to move onto the asset creation portion (I have only been using basic rectangles for EVERYTHING). I'm excited to start concepting, animating, and doing all that fun wacky shit, but I am also scared that since I've been dealing with rectangles that the code I've made will break when I import sprites and bitmaps 😥. I sure hope I can finish the asset production part of this game quick because I have so many other ideas I want to do but had to put off until the base game is complete.

Depending on how I feel about this game in about a week and a half, I might upload it here in the state its in or hold onto it and work more on it. Regardless, I am not dead and I will post a new game here eventually

I'm just going through some of the new user recommendations and one suggested to make a new user post, so here I am

Hello, I'm Zombie Ghost and I like to draw. I tried animating late last year and it was pretty fun so I might try practicing that more. Thanks for reading.
